Description: Circular route starting from Bewdley, going along the river Severn, then turning inland through Ribbesford and Burnt Wood. Stop for lunch at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre, where there are toilets, café and picnic area. After lunch, we head through the Wyre Forest, and onto a disused railway and along the River Severn back to Bewdley
Grade: Leisurely 8 miles.
Meet at 10.15 . Start at 10.30 a.m., outside Tesco Express, Load Street, Bewdley (by the river seven bridge). Post code DY12 2AW, O.S. Grid 787755, Explorer map 218.
Directions: From M5 junction 3, take the A456, to Kidderminster, keep on the A456 going through Kidderminster. As you come out of Kidderminster you pass the West Midlands Safari Park on your left. Shortly after you come to an island, take the 2nd exit to Bewdley town centre. Once over the river severn there are several car parks, one on your left as you come off the bridge and another on your right behind the fire station. Car parks are pay and display, £4.80. There are toilets in the town centre.
